Unsightful Scene of Government Servant
By rick @ 4:27 PM :: 1014 Views :: 2 Comments :: :: General

Dear all,

The attached image was taken on 23 Jun ' 09 around 10.15am, morning at JOO CHIAT ROAD, between shophouse number 170 to 190.

An unsightful scene was discover in which a carpark attendent from CISCO was smoking in a restricted zone, (doorstep of shophouse). To my astonishment, he was also changing his attire in public while smoking.

I was wondering what if this kind of act was seen by tourists or any potential expatriates which could have exagerrate to their own country that Singapore has got other standard then what they expected.

This might lead to a image dispute for Singapore.

I am hoping any relevant department could look into the disipline and image of people who are in government uniform.

Singapore is our land, our nation, and our home.

Regards

Rick Tan

Homeless Singaporean
By rick @ 6:38 PM :: 1008 Views :: 7 Comments :: :: General

Dear all,

It has been a sad discovery that there are still quite a number of Singapore borned Singaporeans whom goes round looking for a place to live whole year round.

I wonder whether government can help on this besides having a scheme for singles to afford buying HDB flats upon reaching 35 years old.

Below are one uncommon situations which lead some Singaporeans having a hard time looking for a home.

etc.) Old parents with one young children sold flats and live with other married childrens 15 years ago. Young children is now 30 years and single. Siblings having difficulty for this 30 years old sibling a space to stay.

This 30 years old children life is greatly affected due to living problems. He could not get own home although there is sufficient money in CPF for downpayment, could not rent a room from HDB as income is over $1,500, cannot afford to rent from public as rental is too high.

Should government consider a more lenient way for such situation that allow this 30 years old children to rent or get a HDB flat before he reach 35 years old?
